Traditionally, college and career readiness (CCR) in schools has been focused around three areas: academic skills, career knowledge and college knowledge. With this laser focus, students understand the importance of succeeding in classes and preparing for standardized tests, as well as various aspects of careers. Students also prepare for college by conducting college and scholarship searches, determining their college major, and ultimately applying to college.
