Nirma University was established in 2003 by the initiative of Nirma Education & Research Foundation (NERF). It is the first private University in Gujarat. It has been recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2 (f) of the UGC Act and Accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The University is one of the leading universities consistently ranked among top 10 private universities in India.
